History
How it got here.
Constructed circa 1965 as the headquarters of Rede Globo, then a young national broadcaster. The building served Globo's operations on Rua Jardim Botânico for over four decades during the company's growth into the dominant Brazilian media group.
Globo eventually consolidated operations elsewhere, and the building sat as a commercial asset before being acquired for residential conversion. The current redevelopment by Performance — a Rio developer with over twenty years of market history — converts the 5,600+ m² envelope into 133 studio and one-bedroom apartments.
The conversion preserves the original structural envelope and the historic Rua Jardim Botânico façade rhythm; internal systems, leisure spaces and amenities are new-build. Delivery and occupancy are governed by the current launch schedule.
