What we publish

Voices are first-hand stories from Amorielli readers: something that happened to you, told in your own words, that other travellers choosing remarkable places to stay, and owners of high-end homes who welcome guests would enjoy or learn from. We publish stories, not advertisements: if you'd like to promote your business, see advertising.

What makes a good story

  • It happened to you, and you say where and when.
  • It has specifics: what it cost, what changed, what you'd do differently.
  • It's between 300 and 3,000 words.
  • It's fair to other people. Describe what happened; leave out names of private people, and never accuse anyone of a crime or wrongdoing.

What happens next

An editor reads every story and replies within three business days. If we'd like to publish it, we send you the final version to approve; nothing goes live without your yes. Stories run in your own words: we add a headline and fix spelling slips, and that's all. If a story names other people, our standards editor reads it first, which can take up to seven days.

Submission terms

You must be 18 or older. By sending a story you confirm it is your own, true and first-hand, and that you have the right to share any photos or video you send and the agreement of anyone shown. You keep ownership of your story. If it is published, you give Trousdale Digital Technologies LLC a free, worldwide, non-exclusive licence to publish, store, display, share and remove it, with your name, on Amorielli, its feeds and its social channels. We may decline any story without giving reasons, and we may correct or remove a published story if it turns out to be inaccurate or unlawful. We don't pay for stories, and publication is never for sale.

Links

A published story can include one link to your own website or listing, in your author line. Links that readers send carry the rel="ugc" attribute.

Privacy

We use your email to sign you in and to write to you about what you send. See our privacy policy.
