Sunset Sea-Clusion is a two-bedroom, two-bath villa on the West End of St. Croix near Frederiksted, the side of the island that faces the sunset. It is a single-storey modern house, white and flat-roofed, with black-framed glass doors along the sea side, a private pool, and a covered terrace looking out over the scrub to the water. The listing puts the beach steps away. It sleeps four.

The space
The interior has been remodelled and refurnished. The living and dining areas sit under vaulted ceilings lined in wood, with a large television and surround sound, and folding glass doors that open the room onto the terrace. The custom chef's kitchen is white with a blue tile backsplash and a dining table at its end, equipped for cooking at home rather than eating out every night.

Each of the two bedrooms has a queen bed, and there are two full bathrooms, so two couples or two friends can share without anyone waiting for the shower. One bedroom looks straight out through glass doors at the pool and the sea.

The setting
The pool and terrace are the reason to book. There is an outdoor Sonos system, a grill, loungers on the deck and a table under cover, and in the evening the sun goes down into the Caribbean in front of the house. The listing describes secluded beaches within walking distance.

Frederiksted, the West End's town, with the long pier, the waterfront, cafés, restaurants and the dive shops, is a short drive away. So is Rainbow Beach, with Rhythms beach bar and water-sports rentals. The rainforest roads around Mahogany Road, horseback riding on the west end, and Sandy Point National Wildlife Refuge are all within easy reach; note that Sandy Point opens on weekends only and closes entirely from April to August for nesting leatherback turtles. A car is the practical way around, and St. Croix drives on the left.
Who it suits
Couples, two friends, or a small family of up to four who want a pool of their own and a quiet place to watch the sunset. It is newly remodelled, and a good base for a week of diving off the Frederiksted pier or exploring the west end. It is not built for a party: there are two bedrooms, and the house is small by design.
Good to know
Two bedrooms, each with a queen bed, and two full bathrooms; sleeps four. The pool and outdoor living areas are private to the villa; only the exterior utility and equipment rooms are kept for property operations. A private chef, butler, housekeeper, bartender and grocery stocking are available on request. The listing marks the house suitable for children and infants. The villa is managed and booked by SP Vacations (Sterling Point Real Estate) in St. Croix.
