Roam Interior Design Studio has finished renovations on 210 guestrooms at The Inn on Biltmore Estate, integrating elements from the historic Biltmore House.
The Inn on Biltmore Estate has completed a renovation project across its 210 guestrooms. Roam Interior Design Studio was responsible for the redesign, according to information released on 31 July 2026.
Situated near Biltmore House, the 250-room Gilded Age mansion of George Vanderbilt, The Inn originally opened in 2001. The property provides views of the estate’s 8,000 acres and surrounding mountains. Biltmore House is known as America’s last castle and largest private home.
Roam Interior Design Studio approached the project with the aim of preserving the Biltmore Estate’s heritage. The design concept sought to integrate the property’s history with contemporary hospitality standards, drawing inspiration from the original visionaries of the estate.
The renovated guestrooms feature a fresh interpretation of classical European style. The design incorporates specific details from the Biltmore House’s original design, its intentions, and its collections, alongside modern amenities.
Elements within the guestrooms include refined panelling and tapestry-style wallcoverings. Roam also integrated details such as nature-inspired wall coverings, area rugs, and fabrics by William Morris. Other features comprise embossed leathers, quatrefoil designs, carved wood detailing, and brass fittings.
Several artworks displayed are recreations from George Vanderbilt’s personal collection. These include architectural drawings of Biltmore House, animal engravings, and botanical paintings. This selection contributes to a design scheme that reflects the history and legacy of the estate.
For guests, this means stays are informed by the deep history of the estate, connecting the accommodation directly to the site's architectural and artistic past.
