Oceanco will present the 111-meter Leviathan and 93-meter Draak at the 2026 Monaco Yacht Show, highlighting vessels designed for scientific expeditions.
Oceanco plans to present two recently delivered projects, Leviathan and Draak, at the 2026 Monaco Yacht Show. The vessels, measuring 111 meters (364ft) and 93 meters (305ft) respectively, are owned by Gabe Newell, who joined the Oceanco team in July 2025. This event marks the first time Oceanco has showcased both a new build and a rebuild at the show.
Leviathan and Draak are companion yachts within Gabe Newell's Inkfish fleet, developed to operate together. According to Newell, Inkfish aims to support the scientific community. He states, "We work with scientists to understand what's helpful, then look at how our technology, tools and resources can best support their mission, whether that's getting them to places they couldn't otherwise reach, developing new technology or providing funding to remove barriers to their research."
Leviathan, delivered in November 2025, features dedicated onboard facilities including a dive center, a laboratory, and a hospital, all designed to support Inkfish activities. Draak, delivered in June 2026 following a comprehensive rebuild by Oceanco's Life Cycle Support, has been reconfigured for a new operational purpose. Alongside Leviathan, Draak now supports Inkfish expeditions with specialist diving facilities, a tender fleet, and heavy-duty lifting systems. Many of the design and operational principles introduced on Leviathan were adopted for Draak.
The design process for both yachts focused on teamwork and community, resulting in unconventional layouts and crew-centric design philosophies. Marcel Onkenhout, CEO of Oceanco, says, "With collaboration guiding every decision, we are looking forward to showcasing two yachts at this year's Monaco Yacht Show that truly reflect this ambition."
Newell's tenure at Oceanco, now just over a year, has seen an expansion of the company's collaborative ecosystem, with the addition of Alewijnse and Winel joining other specialist companies. Oceanco states it is exploring ways to innovate across the design, construction, and operation of future yachts by leveraging a wider technological ecosystem. Newell comments, "Our aim is to identify interesting technologies, prototype them and move them into production."
